Entertainment is a very essential part of our lives without which we would not be as productive as required.

We all have our own work to do, whether it be office work or academic work. We all have to do things that are not all that pleasing online prescription to us for a majority of the time. After taxing our brains for long periods we generally give ourselves some rest. We do something that we enjoy.

This is entertainment. Whatever we do to amuse ourselves or like doing is called our entertainment. There are so many different types of entertainment limited only by our imaginations. Playing games online, offline, on the field, watching a movie, a play, an opera performance, going sky diving, cracking jokes and every other amusing thing you can think of is a form of entertainment.

There is no surprise then when we say that the entertainment industry is one of the largest in the world. It is so vast that people sometimes get carried away by its pure prospects and everyone wants to become an entertainer for the fame and fortune associated with it.

Entertainment is a necessity for all intelligent organisms and it is something that should not be denied. For if optimal amounts of time for entertainment and rest are denied the functionality of an individual is detrimentally affected

Folks I’ve got to hand it to these musical geniuses – they rock! I’ve been playing the big TH (Texas Hold’em) for years and I’ve always drawn inspiration from those alluring poker beats that resonate so well with me. It’s as if I’m in some hypnotic trance, a world far removed from the monotonous drumbeat of numbing reality. You see, with famous poker songs there’s always something to relate to and that’s the deal-maker for a guy like me. My mind takes me back to ‘The Gambler’ by good old Kenny Rogers. This cowboy is a worldwide legend, but his contribution is but a small cog in the wheel of poker songs by top celebs. Let’s take a step back to explore this virtual paradise of top-tier poker songs.

Enjoy ‘Lady Gaga’s poker face’ and ‘You’re My Best Poker Hand’

Okay, well naturally most poker players (both online and real-life players) are well aware of Kenny Rogers’ famous songs from the album ‘The Gambler.’ This was a dollop of poker musical genius of note and old Kenny deserves a jolly good pat on the back for his laudable efforts.  Another super song comes from The Clash – ‘Three Card Trick’ – it’s awesome. Okay I’d like to move this conversation along a bit now. Let’s rock to another legendary performance from none other than Motorhead. If you’ve been following this rock-till-you-drop band you’re no doubt aware that their super song ‘The Ace of Spades’ pulsed through the veins of poker players the world over.

A little poker-styled lyrical genius from superstars such as Abba’s ‘Winner Takes it All’, Steve Miller Band’s ‘The Joker,’ Carly Simon’s ‘Riverboat Gambler,’ AC/DC’s ‘The Jack’ and even Iron Maiden’s ‘Angel and The Gambler’ are worthy of mention. But my favourite of the meaningful poker songs genre is none other than Chris de Burgh’s ‘Spanish Train.’ I assure you that you’ll be hard-pressed to hear a more evocative, poetic and exhilarating poker song than this riveting knockout.

But buy medications of course I realize that many poker fans and players rather enjoy something a little more light-hearted. So I’ve included ‘Lady Gaga’s poker face’ in my list of the best-ever poker songs. Many people are blissfully unaware of what our popular pal Lady Gaga is referencing in her song. Suffice it to say she’s come out and openly expressed her sexual orientation. In keeping her poker face, she’d been able to keep her orientation under wraps – but this is a great ‘coming out’ song for a superstar in the making. For a little more fun, why not listen to ‘You’re My Best Poker Hand – it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your poker dial. These make up the celebrity A-list of poker tunes.
