Embedding any of these videos onto a blog requires the blogger to choose any video of his or her choice on YouTube after which the person has to select the option marked ‘embed’ at the bottom of the box immediately to the right of the video. There is a code box next to the word where the text should be automatically highlighted for copying, which the person does and then pastes onto a fresh blog entry on his site by using the ‘edit HTML’ tab, which should always be pre-selected. After this, pressing the ‘post’ button should complete the whole process, though it is a good idea to check the blog and confirm that everything works as it should.

If everything has been correctly, pressing the play button in the centre of the video should get it going. There is a function which starts the video as soon as it is fully loaded instead of when clicked – this requires modification of the HTML code.

YouTube being such a popular program, embedding the same on a blog really livens things up and if appropriate material is linked, can increase visitor numbers substantially as human nature prefers moving objects to static sentences. Seeing how easy it is to embed YouTube videos, it is a bit strange that more people don’t do so. In fact it is now possible to even embed 3D videos, though viewers will need special glasses to get the full effects, though the system does provide options to those without the glasses. Since some mobile phones now have the technology to access YouTube videos, people on the move and having these phones should be able to appreciate the full content of the blog, including the video portion.

So if you really want to make your blog a hit, just embed a YouTube video and see the traffic!
